What is EGR?
The Exhaust Gas Recirculation system redirects a portion of exhaust gases back into the engine intake to lower combustion temperatures and reduce NOx emissions.
While effective for emissions, this hot, dirty exhaust gas contains soot and carbon particles that coat the intake manifold, valves, and even the turbo.
Over time, this leads to restricted airflow, reduced performance, and expensive repairs.
